WHY AN INTEREST IN GLOBAL HEALTH? 

My family didn't have health insurance when I was growing up, so I know what it is like to not have access to needed health care. My first job as a physical therapist was at a county hospital, so I also have seen first hand what lack of access to health care can do to communities. I wanted to give back, and this seemed like the best way to share my love of physical therapy and my commitment to service.

IF HFGH GOT A $1 MILLION DONATION, WHAT WOULD YOU SPEND IT ON?

I would find a way to build us a permanent clinic site in Batata. Then I would take leave for a year from my job to figure out how to have it staffed year-round by students from all kinds of health professions. And if anything was left over, I would fund scholarships to allow student to participate in HFGH clinic trips. But first, I would cry and post about it on Facebook.
